Scientists at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon have published research on the nature of the corona virus, which is still plaguing the world today, and published their findings in the journal Pranders in Public Health. 

The main features they are claiming are: -

* Corona virus infection will continue to stay in the world. It spreads like a seasonal disease throughout the year until humans reach herd immunity. So the public must learn to live with the corona. The public should also follow best preventive measures, including wearing face shields, adhering to individual human intervals, following hand hygiene, and avoiding meetings.

* Until the herd resistance develops, many waves of the corona will come and attack the public.

* Influenza and common corona viruses peak in winter in temperate regions. But spread throughout the year in tropical regions.

* The virus survives in the air and on air surfaces.

* Compared to other respiratory diseases such as the flu, the corona virus is highly contagious.

* If herd immunity is achieved through natural infections or through vaccinations, the corona virus spread rate should be significantly reduced. Thus the virus is more susceptible to seasonal factors.

* Similar seasonal conditions have been reported for other corona viruses, including the more recent ones, such as NL63 and HK1, which follow the same cycle as influenza.

* The individual infection rate of the corona virus is highest in the Gulf countries.

As the corona virus spreads throughout the year as a seasonal disease, until the majority of the population gains immunity (herd immunity) against the corona virus, the public will continue to follow preventive measures to help prevent the virus from attacking.
